Cool Christmas songs This Christmas I thought I would put together a Christmas song list of cool tunes rather than the normal Xmas song list you get. I am regularly asked to DJ in Surrey and the crowd expect something a little different…….
This is a list of tunes I collected over the years that I would play to a more discerning crowd who by the time of their Christmas party are probably more than just a bit tired of hearing the same songs over and over. These tunes are festive and cool at the same time. If however, you want a more traditional list of Xmas songs look here.

Dome tent Xmas Party for Film Company
Arri Media the camera and lighting hire company based in Uxbridge hired me to DJ at their Xmas Party this year. The venue was an amazing domed tent configuration erected in the car park. Christmas Parties can be a real test for a DJ, with so many differing needs to satisfy and festive spirit in full flow...... So it was pleasing to receive these comments the following day "Thanks again for a great night, I’ve had such positive feedback from everyone this morning" Hark! Highest Party in London – Shard Urban Xmas
The Shard - Xmas Party London. I was asked to DJ at the View for the Shard Xmas Party, this is such an amazing venue for a party in London. There were over 150 staff with an average age of 25 with a few older managers, according the CEO my music selection was "on point for has staff" and the manage who booked me wrote "everyone seemed to be having tons of fun" which you can see from the video below. London Xmas Party – Aviary Roof Top
London Xmas Party - Aviary Roof Top. I got to play at the top of the Montcalm Royal London House in Finsbury Square, London in the Aviary Roof Top bar This amazing venue has views to impress and because of the clever igloo rooms outside on the rooftop itself no reason to be cold or wet. With over 250 people all ready for a festive party this turned into a really enjoyable corporate event. With it being Christmas, I played a few chilled seasonal tracks at the start to get people in the mood and then it was mainly a Kisstory type set with a few current chart tracks. Santa Dash – Clapham Common, London
Santa Dash 3000 Father Christmas's running 5 and 10k courses around Clapham Common all raising money for GOSH - Great Ormond Street Hospital. Setting up at 8.00 I started playing Xmas tunes about 9.00 through an amazing sound system installed all round the course and beefed up with several 5k stacks in the centre of the common. There was a 20 minute break when a band of French drummers played, then it was into upbeat tunes to get the runners in the mood. I finished off with more Xmas tunes that got me right in the Christmas spirit and that of the organisers judging by the e-mails below:
Pennyhill Park Wedding at Xmas
I love Xmas weddings and this one was no exception. The venue was Pennyhill Park in Surrey base for the English Rugby team when they are training an a great place for a quiet family wedding, which is just what this was. I was booked to play for the pre-wedding drinks, the ceremony itself, post wedding drinks, wedding breakfast and then the wedding disco in the evening. This involved 2 set-ups across 3 different rooms. With only 22 guests it meant song choice was vitaly important to keep the day flowing. Xmas Hollywood themed party
Hollywood party - The first Xmas party for me this year was at the Crowne Plaza at Heathrow Airport. For a bit of a change, they had a Hollywood night theme so the evening started off with Oscar winning and film theme music during the drinks reception. After the speeches and over dinner I played some cool xmas tunes. This was followed by a party set made up of very mixed genres of music.
