Polo – Arena Gold Cup After Party 2015

I was asked to play at the Royal Berkshire Polo Club a few weeks back at the highlight of the Arena Polo’s calendar “The Arena Gold Cup After Party 2015" Marking the end of the day’s celebrations, the Arena Gold Cup After Party 2015 celebrates the end of this prestigious tournament & hails the last moments of the winter polo season. Following this year’s sumptuous Asian influenced lunch, from Belgravia’s "Salmontini le Resto”, the nights music will be provided by

Rock the Polo

The Royal Holloway Polo Society held its annual Rock the Polo event at Ash Farm Polo Club this year. I have played regularly (as a DJ not on a horse) at Ash Farm, so was delighted to be asked to DJ. The night started with chart music and then when the very exciting exhibition polo match was played some chilled background music. It was then straight into a more upbeat tracks as the dance floor filled up. Here are a few

After Party.......Following on from the England V Argentina Polo match for the impressive Coronation Cup on Saturday 26 July The Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club held an After Party from 18.00 until 03.00, this event was hosted by the Rocksalt Group, who have venues in Esher and Ascot. Argentina won the game pouncing on England’s mistakes at Guards Polo Club to run away with the Coronation Cup 13-8 in the biggest international match of the English polo season. I played

Queens Cup Polo After Party

This years Queens Cup Polo After Party was well attended after a close game at Guards Polo Club. Zacara retained the high-goal Cartier Queen's Cup at Guards Polo Club in a scrappy, highly tactical affair, easing away to a lead of 9-4 in the fifth chukka when they put the game all but out of reach of Talandracas. Zacara patron Lyndon Lea stepped forward to receive the trophy from HM The Queen on a blustery, overcast afternoon, the favourites having

Happy Days Festival

Its a while since my last blog, this has mainly been due to how busy I have been. Last weekend consisted of Saturday at the NY Bar in Cobham for the night I promote called Club 80 which is a night of original and remixed tracks you would have heard in a club in the eighties. On the Sunday it was of to Club 1 in Ascot, where I was booked to DJ at the Polo seasons opening party. A

Halloween

I have two great gigs for Halloween. Friday 29th I am DJing with a Micheal Jackson impersonator at British Airways. All 300 tickets were sold a couple of weeks ago. On Sat 30th it's just me from 20.00 til 03.00 in one of the oldest pubs in the UK The Ostrich at Colnbrook. I will be playing the standard Halloween party numbers then moving onto a house set with spooky samples and using all four decks of Traktor. Also in

Xmas preperation

All the nights have only just started to draw in, I have been actively working on my Xmas schedule. New years eve has already been booked by Hush in Mayfair as a result of the succesful evening I had with them last year. This Wednesday, I have a meeting with an entertainment agency who are looking to put me in 4 to 5 star hotels in the run up to Xmas. My club work is also on the up, so

Different ends of the Spectrum

On Sat night, I played at a party from 20.00 till 11.30 then drove to Vanilla in Windosr and DJ'd from 01.00 till 03.00 in front of 750 including two promotors who had come to see me. Weds night played to 70 handicapped people mainly in wheelchairs. Put a smile on the face of both crowds, but played very contrasting sets www.spectrumdisco-dj.co.uk

Wedding in Laleham Park

This weekend, I DJ'd at a lovely wedding in Laleham Park, Surrey. 200 people, lovely weather and an unusual setting, made for a great time. The location was right in the middle of the Park football pitch with the chairs outside and me playing motown love songs as the guests arrived. When the Bride walked down the aisle her sister sang a Sade number to her and I played Signed Sealed Delivered. I also took photos of the blessing and
