50th Birthday party – Thanks for coming to my blog it was written to help give you a feel for the kind of service I supply at the varied parties and events I DJ at. You can also go to my DJ hire home page if you want for even more information on the range of services I provide or to Hire a DJ below are a few examples of me DJing in a club in Shoreditch and playing a few well known 80’s tunes.
In this ever changing environment, I can also provide virtual events and help put the fun back into life. Or, a Private Dining experience with a private chef with music and lighting to match the theme of the food. I love to help people party whether its a small gathering in your house or something bigger, let me be part of the night and it will be an event to remember for all the right reasons. Should you wish, I can add some Old skool and 90’s tunes into the mix or even something more contempary.

Anyway, back to the event in hand, a 50th Birthday, with more than a hint of 80’s music……..I recently DJ’d at a 50th birthday party where the remit was to play 80s tunes with a few 90s along with some popular current tracks as well.
“I cannot thank you enough for Saturday Night. Everyone was so impressed with your service and performance. It truly was outstanding and I have already had so many comments on how good you were. People are saying it was one of the best nights of their lives.”
I love this kind of event as it is quite a challenge musically especially if there is a varied age group. Have a look at the playlist below to see the tracks I finally played on the night, and also at my other blogs to see how varied the music is so as to help achieve the goals of the event.
Should you decide to book me for your party, I will work with you to help you get the night you want. My experience and connections mean I can put you in contact with all sorts of suppliers and I can also advise on any ideas you may have to make your party just that little bit more memorable.
“Thank you so much for all you did. You made sure we had a full dance floor all night and everyone loved the music you played. It was an absolute pleasure working with you and we would not hesitate contacting you again in the future.”
Up until I played Vogue by Madonna the guests were arriving and eating a light buffet, so I kept the tempo of the music down. Having grown up with a mixture of classic 80’s and chart and club tunes as the backdrop to my teenage years I really enjoy these parties. Having grown up with this music its been great to DJ with some of the stars of that era like Rusty Egan from Visage, Steve Norman the sax player in Spandau Ballet and Jazzy B from Soul 11 Soul and more recent artists such as Groove Armada, DJ Fresh and DJ Luck and MC Neat. I also get booked to play in places such as Ibiza
This is an example of an 80’s mix I did for a Party on a beach in Zanzibar https://www.mixcloud.com/paullinney50/alternative-80s/
Here are few examples of other nights I have played at. Each event had a different theme and consequently different music. Also of interest may be a link to my 40th and 50th Birthday party page. Or maybe you would like some 90’s music as well? Or how about and 80’s themed Wedding?
