50th Birthday party – Thanks for coming to my blog it was written to help give you a feel for the kind of service I supply at the varied parties and events I DJ at. In this ever changing environment, I can also provide virtual events and help put the fun back into life. Or, a Private Dining experience with a private chef with music and lighting to match the theme of the food. I love to help people party whether its a small gathering in your house or something bigger, let me be part of the night and it will be an event to remember for all the right reasons. Anyway, back to the event in hand, a 50th Birthday, with more than a hint of 80’s music……..I recently DJ’d at a 50th birthday party where the remit was to play 80s tunes with a few 90s along with some popular current tracks as well.

Up until I played Vogue by Madonna the guests were arriving and eating a light buffet, so I kept the tempo of the music down. Having grown up with a mixture of classic 80’s and chart and club tunes as the backdrop to my teenage years I really enjoy these parties. Having grown up with this music its been great to DJ with some of the stars of that era like Rusty Egan from Visage, Steve Norman the sax player in Spandau Ballet and Jazzy B from Soul 11 Soul and more recent artists such as Groove Armada, DJ Fresh and DJ Luck and MC Neat. I also get booked to play in places such as Ibiza

Surrey Pool Party
Pool Party - I was asked to DJ at a rather cool Pool Party after the organiser had seen me play at some local clubs and bars. The brief was to start with a nice chilled set, building the tempo over 5 hours. I started at 16.00 and this video was taken just as it got dark and most people had got out of the pool. Hideaway – Surbiton Marina
Hideaway - Surbiton Marina. I am lucky enough to be a resident DJ at Hideaway in Surbiton. This venue is all about a vibe of great food, staff, location, music and of course its customers. The perfect hangout for a bite to eat, afternoon libations & late night liaisons. Hideaway is a riverside restaurant that has 50 covers and an amazing terrace overlooking the River Thames. Our outdoor seating works on a first come first served basis. Playing twice a month, once on a Friday evening and once for Sunday Brunch, I get to select some very chilled tunes

What a difference a year makes. From the stop start and uncertainty of last year with the disappointing ens at Christmas, to the fun and freedom of this one. I have played at so many amazing venues this year, and been involved with some brilliant weddings both in the UK and abroad. James Bond Party
James Bond Party - Always a great theme and lots of choice for dressing up glam. The theme was enhanced with the use of graphics that I created using Resolume Wire and played back via Resolume Avenue. Sky Glass soft product launch
Sky Glass is a custom-designed 4K TV that streams live television, on-demand boxsets and streaming apps over your broadband connection. Its one of the biggest consumer products that has come to market for a while and I was asked to DJ at the soft product launch. (This is the party where Sky glass thanks the contributors to the creation of the product, be they Sky employee's or external suppliers. Either way it was a big deal with 300 people with varied musical tastes to entertain. The event was held in Aures under Waterloo station. Aures is a London-based event
Halloween Wedding
Halloween Wedding - I new this wedding was going to be a bit different when the groom gave me the date...... He was very insistent that this was not going to be an ordinary affair, my wife will be all in black he said. (you can see her dancing on the stage in front of me in one of the videos below) It may have been very different, but it was a lot of fun.
