Oxford wedding for Polo couple

Oxford Wedding - What a day and night it turned out for the couple. They had decided on Merriscourt  as the venue and it was in every perfect for the couple who are very active on the Polo circuit. They had 125 sit down and another 50 evening guests made for some party and those Polo players know how to party...........     Man On The Moon R.E.M. Personal Jesus Jazzistics Feat. Karen Souza

Wedding at The Wharf, Teddington, London

This was my first time playing at The Wharf in Teddington, London, although I had been there as a customer several times and always enjoyed myself. This was a real family wedding, with something for everyone. A childrens disco before the first dance and party games as well. The playlist was varied to suit all ages and was a hit with the groom who messaged me the next day: Hi Paul. Thank you so much everyone had an amazing time.

Festival Wedding

I got to DJ at an amazing festival wedding a few weeks back. It had everything, from fire pits to hog roasts and chocolate fountains and with over 250 guests it really was a fun occasion. Musically, I played at the ceremony and then some chilled background music during the wedding breakfast, till the band started. They played wedding favourites and I followed on with some funk and disco till midnight, from midnight till 02.00 it was more orientated to

Middle of the road Wedding

Middle of the road wedding - Weddings tend to bring together family and friends of all ages and musical tastes, so a middle of the road playlist is often required and can be enormous fun. This is what the bride had to say, the day after her wedding........ Hi Paul Just wanted to say thank you for playing a great set on our wedding evening.  We thoroughly enjoyed it and you kept the dance floor full right until the end!

Cornwall wedding

Cornwall Wedding  Cornwall wedding at Trevanna a converted farm. The celebrations were over 3 days and I played at the wedding party in the evening and the BBQ the next day. Most people had driven up from Surrey and there were two couples whose wedding I had played at on the guest list. This was a real fun bunch and out of 130 attending 100 were friends of the bride and groom so it was a real party. Fun

The Benefits of Hiring a Smaller Wedding Venue

The Benefits of Hiring a Smaller Venue I’m not sure when the trend for giant weddings kicked off but now it seems like there’s no way to get out of throwing a massive do. Food vans, sweet tables, even carnival rides; it seems like the only way to fit everything in is to hire out a football field. Despite our obsession with ‘bigger being better’ there are a lot of perks to refrain from hiring carnival dancers and instead dialling

Frensham Ponds Wedding

Frensham Ponds -  I played at a wedding in Millbridge Court, by Frensham Ponds last weekend, my first time at this venue and hopefully not the last. Really interesting and well laid out building for a wedding with two rooms one for dining and the other the entertainment. The Bride and groom wanted a mixture of 80's 90's and current with a bit of club music in there too. The Groom messaged me the next morning to say "Thanks for

Royal Holloway wedding

Wedding at Royal Holloway  - This was a long day, but a great wedding. I played three sets and helped with keeping the brides and bridesmaids dry as they got out of the wedding cars and into the beautiful chapel at Royal Holloway, Egham. The first set was a chilled background one with background during the pre-dinner drinks.  This set was 2 hours, I then went to my next set-up in the picture gallery to play a jazzy / ratpack

Pennyhill Park Wedding at Xmas

I love Xmas weddings and this one was no exception. The venue was Pennyhill Park in Surrey base for the English Rugby team when they are training an a great place for a quiet family wedding, which is just what this was.  I was booked to play for the pre-wedding drinks, the ceremony itself, post wedding drinks, wedding breakfast and then the wedding disco in the evening. This involved 2 set-ups across 3 different rooms. With only 22 guests it meant

Wedding DJs London and what to consider

It's going to be a London wedding and you have the date set and the venue has been agreed. You are already looking at wedding dresses and the wedding invitations have gone out. Now it is time to look for your wedding entertainment. If you have opted for a DJ then it is just a matter of a quick look on the internet and according to Brides Magazine , the wedding entertainment is only 2.6% of the total cost so it can’t
