Hi,

Saturday night involved me DJing at a 50th Birthday Party. The location was a disused restaurant with mainly glass walls and very modern. There were over 120 people average age would be about 45.

I played background music at very low volume during the meal and showed pictures on a screen I had erected of the birthday girl growing up and with her friends and family. At pre-drinks, I had taken photos of the guests which I then added to the photos I already had.

After the speeches, I then projected more contemporary images onto the ceiling using Resolumne and that was very affective, especially with my other lighting all DMX’d up to Frestyler.

Then it was dance time. This was a conservative middle of the road crowd, slightly rocky so this is what got them on the tables and the five dancing on the bar!! As the building was mainly glass and meant to be empty it also had people dancing outside in the street as well.
