Hospitality and Entertainment Ball – Surrey University

Hospitality and Entertainment Ball or THE Ball as it was called was sold out and it was also the inaugural event for this society at Surrey University. All 300 seats where full, so no pressure then.... Proms and University Balls are great fun as everyone is up for a party The results can be seen from the videos..... And the Tweet from the society to say "Great job tonight Paul" full dancefloor despite them having the lure of the guildford

Indie Dance wedding – Virginia Waters

Played at a great wedding on Saturday, the music they wanted was chilled during the wedding breakfast and then Indie Dance for the party afterwards. The venue was a lovely house in Virginia waters complete with pond and its own swimming pool and the guest where a mixture of Farmers and lawyers so a very demanding crowd. In the words of the groom this is how they felt it went.... "Thank you so much for yesterday- you made a huge

London 18th Party

London 18th Party, 150 guests and a great night. I played a mixture of remixes of current tunes, plus some classics to keep the dancefloor going right from the start. My new JBL sub woofer which goes down to 30hz really helped with this kind of event. This what was said afterwards: Hi Paul I just wanted to say thank you for providing such a great service on Saturday 31st March for Daisy's 18th Birthday party.  Daisy and her friends had

90’s Music

90's music - The 90’s started where the 80’s finished off musically but then we saw Electronic music, which had increased in popularity in the 1980s, grew highly very in the 1990s; house and techno from the 1980s rose to international success in this decade, as well as new electronic dance music genres such as Techno and Trance. Not being left behind in the 90s either was Hip-hop which had done well in the eighties also.   Rock and Pop

Fifty somethings Funky birthday party

Fifty Funky Party - This Funky Fifty something wanted to relive his youth with music he heard in the clubs back in the day.  A bit of Funk finished of with some 90's House and a few Faithless tracks. Here are some of the comments from the guests: "the music was the best I have had for years, my feet are still hurting...." “Your work the other night was brilliant, I’m no aficionado, but that was the best music and

Bucks 18th Party

Buckinghamshire independant state school Pipers Corner  was the venue for this 18th Party It was a nice slow start as the Party was a themed event with James Bond and Casino Royal the subject and it gave the guests a chance to play on the roulette and card tables downstairs and also to sample a few cocktails - shaken but not stirred. I supplied all the lighting sound lasers smoke and also the visual themed projection  with images of James bond moving

Studio 54 disco themed 21st Birthday party

Studio 54 disco themed 21st Birthday party. Start with a bit of soul during dinner and then hit them with some disco Glitterbox style and 80's classics, through in a few recent dance classics and then back to the Disco tunes. This is what the event organiser had to say: Hi Paul I don’t know where to start! Thank you so so so much for such a fabulous event on Saturday, you absolutely smashed it and that dance floor was

Blondie in London

I was lucky enough to get invited to the Blondie concert at the O2 in Brixton. Not only that I was given backstage passes by the bands drummer Clem Burke, who I am pictured with below: From the when 80's star Debbie Harry and the band launched into their set with the new wave classic ‘One Way or Another’ from 1978’s Parallel Lines, the crowd at the sold out Brixton Academy were whipped into a jubilant fever, something the band

Stoke Newington – 50th Birthday

Stoke Newington - I played in a great party venue a few weeks back called the Old Church in Stoke Newington, London. The occasion was a 50th birthday and the requested music was 80's and more of the New Romantic style from that time frame. The building lent itself to uplighting as this really brought out its features. I also showed images from 1967 news reals as this was the date that the birthday couple had been born in.

Tower Bridge, London – 80’s Party

Tower Bridge, London - I get to play at all sorts of venues in both in the Uk and abroad, but the walkway in Tower Bridge has got to be one of the most unusual. I followed on from an amazing Indian Tabla band, with a Haircut One Hundred 80's playlist (the 40th birthday girl was a big Nick Heywood fan). This was an 80's Party like no other I had played at, the glass floor 42 metres above the River
