50th Party in Surrey - Reggae Ska and a bit of 80's. I was approached by the Head of School at Surrey University to DJ at her 50th after a recommendation from her students, which was nice. After having a chat on her musical preferences this was definitely going to be an interesting gig..... The request went like "an 80’s theme- mostly dance, I was never a Duran fan! I was more mod into ska back then which progressed
18th birthday Salomons Estate Kent - An interesting gig this....... Mum had arranged a surprise 18th birthday for her son and said according to his "mates" his fav artists where Post Malone, Eminen, The Weekend (Who I DJ'd with a few months back) and Two Door Cinema Club. Turns out his "friends" where joking and he is mad about Tech House..... Fortunately I have a rather good selection of tunes from my time in Ibiza and playing in clubs
When Secret Escapes gave a conference at the Hilton London Bankside and wanted a DJ to create an Ibiza bar vibe, guess who they contacted....... The brief was that they wanted me to create a vibe, but not get people dancing. They wanted people to converse in a chilled relaxed atmosphere. This is what the client had to say the next day "Thanks for a great evening, was exactly what we wanted." This is what I played...... What About Now?
To celebrate David Bowie's birthday Boy George wanted to do a night of new interesting music with electro-pop three piece We Are Brando at Scala in London with their dark dance-orientated sound. George went under his alter-ego The Twin. The music was a mixture of new wave, new disco and electro and the crowd flamboyant with a lot of the 80's crowd from the Blitz. In our group was David Shilling the world famous hat maker and Marilyn was with us
After last years successful event at Centre Parcs, Bunzl - Greenham decided that this year they would hold their conference at Butlins in Bognor. I have to say, I was blown away by the facilities there, both for the guests and entertainers. This was a full on production, the theme was casino and they had variety acts and singers during the meal and then from 10.00 till 01.0 it was myself and the casino tables plus the odd bar or
New Romantic and New wave Party for a 50th Birthday Party. I always enjoy playing at an 80's party and having a brief of playing the music I grew up with and am involved with now thanks to my working relationship tp Rusty Egan of Visage. Arri Media the camera and lighting hire company based in Uxbridge hired me to DJ at their Xmas Party this year. The venue was an amazing domed tent configuration erected in the car park. Christmas Parties can be a real test for a DJ, with so many differing needs to satisfy and festive spirit in full flow...... So it was pleasing to receive these comments the following day "Thanks again for a great night, I’ve had such positive feedback from everyone

The 18th birthday girl, wanted a club like experience, and that is what she had, with a massive 10,000 watt sound system and a VJ set-up. This is what she text me the next day: “Hiya Paul, Thank you so much for everything last night! You were insane
