To celebrate David Bowie’s birthday Boy George wanted to do a night of new interesting music with electro-pop three piece We Are Brando at Scala in London with their dark dance-orientated sound. George went under his alter-ego The Twin.
The music was a mixture of new wave, new disco and electro and the crowd flamboyant with a lot of the 80’s crowd from the Blitz. In our group was David Shilling the world famous hat maker and Marilyn was with us for a while.
At the end of a great show both visually and musically, it was back to the Water Rats next door, where Rusty Egan (from Visage and the Blitz) plus Tiny Magnetic Pets (support for OMD’s latest UK tour) performed 80’s tracks till the early hours.
