I was delighted to be asked to be part of an event to raise money for the Doddie Weir Trust.
The evening was for 2000 plus people to have a night of fun and entertainment to raise money for the trust. In the audience where over 120 Rugby International players like Jonny Wilkinson and industry leaders and celebrities. Hosted by Gabby Logan and Rory Bremner, it was a real fun night.
I played 2 45 minute sets which went down well, with the client saying:

Doddie Weir’5 Discretionary Trust was established by Doddie, with the support of his family and friends in response to Doddie being diagnosed as suffering from Motor Neuron Disease.
DW5’s aim is to support Doddie, Kathy and their family in the months and years ahead as they live with this, currently, incurable condition.
In June 2017 Doddie shared his diagnosis with us all and the global response has been incredible. The world rugby community, in particular, has offered enormous support and we, as trustees, believe the Trust can serve as a way of giving the Weir family the practical help they need, while raising the profile of this degenerative condition.
We also have plans in place to launch a charitable Foundation to be known as “My Names’5 Doddie Foundation” in the coming months. The Foundation will raise funds both to investigate the causes and potential cures for MND and make grants to individuals suffering from MND to enable them to live as fulfilled life as possible. We will share details of My Name’5 Doddie Foundation once approved by the relevant regulators.
